The Club has a long history (one of the oldest Clubs & Dry Sloes in the UK) of providing quality instruction and training.
The Club are always looking to encourage new individuals to become instructors and to keep up with the training for those already qualified.
Often he club are, and endeavours to be in the fortunate position of being able to provide heavily subsidised instructor training, thanks to various funders.
The Club operate a rolling program of Instructor training for skiing and snowboarding.
Minimum skiing requirements to start training are, that you need to be able to perform basic parallel turns, be aged 14 or above (please note: you cannot take Level 1 Assessment until age 16 but can train when younger).
You will also need to attend a Safeguarding Children workshop and have an up to date First Aid Certificate - both these courses run fairly regularly in the area, and we can help you find courses to attend at minimal expense.
This is a great opportunity for youngsters or anyone to add skills to their CV even if it's a career path you'd like to pursue, there are lots of skill sets you can aquire and develope throughout, and won't cost the earth to do!
NB. The costs of training are usually HEAVILY subsidised, on the proviso that trainees are willing to commit to helping to instruct an agreed minimum number of NWSC sessions / hours in return. These hours all count toward the logged hours required for becoming qualified.
Happy Skiing & Boarding.
