As another season approaches the club has gone from strength to strength having had around 70 members a year ago at the start of last season, to now currently having almost 400 members at the end of that 1 year. That's amazing!
What this does mean though, is that we've got more sessions and quite likely a (much) busier winter ahead of us. As a consequence we'll need more volunteers and instructors to make all the sessions work, and of course we are still in our trial year of getting the Plas y Brenin slope to work, up until March 2016, so the time is now! (Please see below to see how you can help).
In other news, some of our youngsters have been at it: Callum Wylie spent some some time over in Canada after last season training in the parks over there developing his slope style skills; Tybalt Peake became the youngest Briton ever to sail the legendary Northwest Passage; and the club successfully held it's first official Junior Summer Camp in Capel Curig & Plas y Brenin. Big Adventurers all!
And as for the growing interest in some of our more mature members returning to the ski racing scene, Mat Ingle recently became the 2015 British Indoor Masters Champion at the National Championships in Manchester. Congratulations Mat.
The only other thing to add is that the club will be holding it's AGM on Friday 9th Oct if anyone is wishing to attend @ the Community Hall in Capel Curig @ 6.30pm. A great opportunity to come along and volunteer your support :)
