Upcoming Summer Races 2016 Indoor Snow Races 28-30 May - SSE BASS races - Snowworld, Landgraaf (Holland). Indoor ski slope with Bass points races that count toward the 2016/2017 alpine seed lists. 18-19 June - GBR3 / Scottish Champs - Braehead, Glasgow. 3rd round of the GBR Indoor series and Scottish championships at the indoor slope in Glasgow. 16-17 July - GBR4 / GBR5 - SnoZone, Castleford. 4th and 5th rounds of the GBR Indoor series. 13-14 August - Anglo Welsh / British - Chill factore, Manchester. Welsh and British indoor championships 27 August - ERSA Open Challenge - Chill Factore, Manchester 24-25 Sept - Lowlands Championships - Snowworld Landgraaf. British / Dutch / Belgian international race. Outdoor Plastic Races 2 July - GBR 3 Outdoor - Stoke 9 July - GBR 4 Outdoor - Pontypool 10 July - GBR 5 Outdoor - Pontypool All the above are for registered racers, which is 8yrs old and over. For U8 the selections are more limited. There are the NWSC - PYB races Date - NWSC 2 Date - NWSC 3 Date - NWSC 4 Date - NWSC 5 There is usually a 5 race series summer league series at Rossendale, but they have been cancelled this year as the slope is being renovated. There is also a 4 race series summer league in Stoke. The first two dates have been, but the final two are 18 June - Stoke 3 16 July - Stoke 4 All the above are the most convenient of the summer races. There are plenty of others available and they are listed on http://www.britski.org/ and on http://www.ersa.co.uk If you do want to race in any of the registered races, you will first need to register with SnowsportWales or SnowsportEngland. For U10 and U12 age groups (yob 2004-2007) the first year of registration is free. It is also convenient to register on the ERSA website as their website is used for race entries. In general entries close 7-10 days before the race, although late entries will often be allowed but for an increased race entry fee. For the various summer league and club races, you will need to contact the relevant club for race entries. Assume that you need to enter a week in advance, but a lot of club races will allow entries on the day.
